Through a collaboration originated by Mid State Distillery, fresh when the 5.5 year old bourbon comes out, maple syrup is placed in the barrels. Allowed to age for 3 to 5 months, the white oak tannins, char and bourbon flavors perfectly blend together with the pure maple syrup.

 

My favorite use for this is to drizzle it over a mild fish fillet while grilling to perfection.
